WAKE Co. PUBLIC SCHOOL BUDGET –
Please attend the PUBLIC HEARING and advocate for schools our children deserve.
The Wake Co. School Board presented its budget to the county commissioners for FY2017-18. On May 15, 2017, the county manager responded with his budget proposal to the Wake County commissioners. His 2017-18 budget includes operating funds for Wake County schools. The school board asked for an additional $45M in local funds and the County Manager proposed only $16M. A large gap between the ask and offer.
There will be two public hearings to allow citizens to sign up and speak on the budget.
SAVE THIS DATE – Monday June 5th.
The evening hearing is at 7pm at the Commons Building, 4011 Carya Dr., Raleigh -Off Poole Rd.
